Jordan Summons Iranian Chargé d'Affaires Following Attacks

The ministry said in a statement that it had delivered a strongly worded protest note to the Iranian Chargé d’Affaires against the continued unprovoked and unjustified Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom’s territory, as well as against the inflammatory and provocative statements issued by official Iranian entities regarding the Kingdom.
The ministry’s official spokesperson, Ambassador Fuad al-Majali, confirmed that the ministry had requested the Chargé d’Affaires to convey a clear message to his country to immediately halt attacks on the Kingdom, emphasizing that Jordan’s security and the safety of its citizens constitute a red line that cannot be violated, as well as the necessity to stop the unacceptable inflammatory rhetoric.
Al-Majali also affirmed Jordan’s condemnation of the blatant Iranian attacks targeting the sister countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and reiterated Jordan’s absolute solidarity and support for them in all measures they take to safeguard their sovereignty, security, and the safety of their citizens and residents. He reiterated that Jordan will continue to take all available and necessary steps to protect the safety of its citizens, its security, and its sovereignty.
