"Nawf and Nawaf": Virtual Assistants at Adan Hospital to Respond to Medical Inquiries via WhatsApp

The Nuclear Medicine Department at Adan Hospital organized a workshop and scientific lectures today on the role of artificial intelligence in scientific research, during which a group of specialists presented the latest insights and advanced applications of AI in scientific research.

Dr. Ammar Al-Fadli, Director of the Ahmadi Health Region, said in a media statement during the workshop that “this scientific event on artificial intelligence is important for all workers in the health sector, and offers significant benefits in developing scientific research and saving time and effort for staff.”

He clarified that these lectures are new in the world of medicine and scientific research, and serve the patient’s interest by keeping them informed of the latest developments in this field.

For her part, Dr. Esraa Al-Qattan, Head of the Nuclear Medicine Department at Adan Hospital, emphasized in a similar statement that artificial intelligence has become an integral part of our daily lives due to its important role in scientific research and in developing such research.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Ashour, Head of Technicians and Nuclear Medicine Specialist at the hospital, said in a similar statement that Adan Hospital launched the smart virtual assistant for the Nuclear Medicine Department, “Nawf and Nawaf,” to help doctors calculate radioactive materials, available inventory, and the required quantities to be provided.

He added that starting next month, the smart virtual assistant “Nawf and Nawaf” will be used to respond to all inquiries via WhatsApp around the clock, 24 hours a day.
