Industry Authority: Immediate Evacuation of Voucher Backlashes

The Public Authority for Industry has called on operators of setbacks on industrial plots that were previously licensed by the authority to immediately vacate these setbacks and remove all existing structures and installations.

The authority clarified that this notice is in compliance with Cabinet Decision No. 740, concerning the issuance of temporary licenses for areas and setbacks located outside industrial plot sites, which stipulates that the Kuwait Municipality is responsible for issuing temporary licenses for stalls in areas and setbacks outside industrial plot sites, and for enforcing safety regulations in accordance with the provisions of Law Decree No. 18 of 1987 concerning safety systems and the protection of public facilities and public wealth resources.

On another note, the authority invited the holders of four industrial craft licenses to visit it promptly to facilitate the regularization of their status, after which the authority will exercise the powers granted to it under the Industrial Law upon the expiration of this period.

The industrial craft activities involved collecting used cooking oils and aluminum works, along with two licenses for commercial activities. These companies are located in the Al-Reem and Shuwaikh industrial areas.
