Kuwaiti Youth Secure Hard-Fought Victory Over Japan in Asian Handball Championship

Kuwait’s youth handball team snatched a hard-fought 30-29 victory over Japan in their match on Sunday, as part of the fourth round of Group 2 in the preliminary stage of the 19th Asian Youth Handball Championship, hosted in Chuzhou, China, until July 27.

Results from the other matches in the fourth round played today saw Korea defeat India 49-19, Iran beat Qatar 26-25 (Group 2), Bahrain triumph over Hong Kong 43-15, China edge Oman 31-26, and Saudi Arabia defeat Chinese Taipei 46-29 (Group 1).

With these results, Korea moved to the top of Group 2 with six points, followed by the United Arab Emirates in second place and Iran in third, both with five points. Kuwait’s national team rose to fourth place with four points, while Japan remained fifth and Qatar sixth, both with two points. India finished seventh and last without any points.
