Spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, announced that the Armed Forces detected hostile ballistic missiles and drones within Kuwaiti airspace, where they were intercepted and neutralized. He added that the reprehensible aggression continued to target several military, security, vital, and civilian facilities in the country, leading to fires and severe damage to various infrastructure and installations, as well as the fall of debris in several residential areas.
The Armed Forces affirmed their continued execution of their duties with high efficiency, within the framework of constant readiness and preparedness, and taking all necessary measures to protect the sovereignty of the homeland and safeguard its security and stability.
For its part, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, emphasized that the repeated targeting of vital facilities reveals a systematic aggressive approach aimed at civilian assets and essential infrastructure, endangering the lives and safety of civilians in a blatant violation of international and humanitarian law, the UN Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817.
The Ministry placed full responsibility for this brutal aggression and its repercussions on Iran, calling on it to immediately cease its attacks, while stressing that Kuwait reserves its full right to take all necessary measures to preserve its security and defend its territory and vital facilities against any aggression or threat.
For its part, the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation announced that one of the vital sites in the oil sector was subjected to repeated brutal Iranian attacks yesterday morning, resulting in significant material losses and some injuries. The injured were provided with medical aid and the site was evacuated.
On the Arab front, Gulf and Arab countries expressed their strong condemnation of the Iranian attacks against Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan, emphasizing the necessity of an immediate and complete halt to all military actions and attacks that threaten the security and stability of the region.
While considering these attacks a blatant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the targeted states, and a flagrant breach of international law, the UN Charter, and the principles of good neighborliness, they renewed their solidarity with the targeted Arab countries, affirming their support for all measures that preserve their security and stability.

This necessitated the activation of emergency plans and the implementation of urgent technical and operational measures to maintain the stability of the country’s electrical and water systems.
The Ministry of Electricity clarified in a statement two days ago that, as a result of the reprehensible Iranian aggression against Kuwait, one power and desalination station was attacked, causing damage to station facilities, a fire, and significant damage to numerous power generation units. This required the activation of emergency plans and immediate response to the incident to mitigate its effects and maintain the stability of the electrical system.
The Ministry indicated that the General Fire Force teams responded immediately to the incident, successfully controlling and extinguishing the fire. Meanwhile, technical and emergency teams affiliated with the Ministry, in coordination with relevant authorities, implemented necessary technical and precautionary measures to assess the damage, secure the station, and work to restore affected units to service as quickly as possible, while adhering to the highest safety standards.
The Ministry affirmed that technical teams continue to work around the clock to maintain the stability of the electrical system and ensure service continuity, with continuous monitoring of electrical grid indicators and taking all necessary measures to minimize any potential impact on the system.
For his part, Dr. Subaih Al-Makhzoum, Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, affirmed that the ministry is operating at full capacity, deploying all its technical and human resources in coordination with relevant authorities to ensure the continuity of electricity and water production and to mitigate any potential repercussions of the incident. He praised the dedication and loyalty of the workers in fulfilling their national duty.
This statement came during two visits conducted by Al-Makhzoum yesterday and the day before, accompanied by the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Adel Al-Zamil, to the sites of the two incidents. The visits aimed to assess the extent of the damage, monitor the progress of response and emergency operations, and review the technical measures taken to contain the fallout from the attack, thereby contributing to the stability of the electricity and water systems.
During the visit on the day before yesterday, which was accompanied by Al-Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Hamad Al-Jaber, Al-Makhzoum received a detailed technical briefing on the nature of the damages and the urgent measures taken from the first moments of the incident, alongside rehabilitation and repair plans underway to return the damaged units to service in accordance with the highest standards of efficiency and safety.
Officials closely observed the efforts of security, safety, and fire-fighting teams, as well as the engineering and technical personnel working at the site, commending the rapid response and high efficiency demonstrated by the field teams and their continuous round-the-clock efforts to restore normal conditions as quickly as possible.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Minister directed that evaluation and repair works continue in accordance with the highest quality and safety standards, with ongoing precise field monitoring and an acceleration of operations to address all consequences of the incident and restore the damaged units to their normal operational status.
During the second attack on electricity facilities yesterday morning, another power plant and water desalination station was targeted by an Iranian criminal attack, resulting in a fire in one of the plant’s components. This necessitated the implementation of precautionary operational measures, including disconnecting several generation units, to safeguard the plant and its workers and to ensure the stability of the electrical system.
The Ministry of Electricity stated that its emergency teams, in coordination with the General Fire Force and relevant authorities, immediately responded to the fire. It confirmed that all operational and emergency plans were activated immediately upon the incident’s occurrence, ensuring the continuity and stability of both the electricity and water systems and minimizing any potential impact on service, with continuous technical and operational monitoring around the clock.
Yesterday morning, Al-Makhzoum and Al-Zamil inspected the incident site and reviewed the efforts made by the ministry’s emergency teams, in coordination with the General Fire Force and security authorities, which resulted in the complete control and extinguishment of the fire after a six-hour firefighting operation. Meanwhile, technical teams continued to assess the damages and began rehabilitation works.
The Minister commended the significant efforts exerted by the emergency and fire-fighting teams, as well as engineering and technical personnel, praising their rapid response and efficient handling of the incident. He emphasized that work would continue until the completion of repair works and the return of damaged units to service in accordance with the highest safety and efficiency standards.
In a related development, the Ministry of Electricity appealed to citizens and residents to cooperate with the ministry during this exceptional phase by rationalizing electricity consumption, as this has a direct impact on supporting the stability of the national electrical system, enabling technical teams to manage the system efficiently, and ensuring the continuity of service across the country.

The General Fireforce announced yesterday that several firefighters and one worker were injured while battling a fire that broke out following the culpable Iranian attacks.
The Fireforce clarified in a statement that its teams responded to two fires that erupted at two different locations in the country after these sites were targeted in the recent hostile attacks.
It noted that five fire teams participated at the first site, supported by teams from the oil sector’s fire department, while three fire teams participated at the second site.
It added that the first incident resulted in several injuries among firefighters and one worker during the firefighting operation. The site was evacuated, and the injured were transported to receive necessary medical care.
