Minister of Health: Full readiness of the health system

Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi held an expanded meeting today, Saturday, at the Crisis Center in the Diwan of the Ministry of Health, attended by Deputy Minister Sheikh Dr. Salman Khalifa Al-Sabah, ministry leadership, directors of vital departments, and members of the Central Emergency Committee, to monitor current developments and assess the readiness of the health system across various sectors.

The meeting also discussed emergency response plans, coordination mechanisms among the ministry’s sectors, enhancing response speed, raising operational readiness levels, and continuously reviewing precautionary measures to keep pace with evolving developments and ensure the safety of patients and the uninterrupted continuity of health services.

The Minister of Health emphasized the importance of proactive readiness, ongoing field monitoring, and enhanced coordination among all ministry sectors, thereby improving performance efficiency and ensuring swift handling of any new developments in accordance with approved national plans.

He stressed that all hospitals, primary healthcare centers, and health facilities continue to provide their services normally, underpinned by comprehensive readiness of medical, technical, and administrative staff, and the continued availability of medicines, medical supplies, and strategic reserves, reinforcing the health system’s capacity to fulfill its mission efficiently and effectively.

This meeting comes within the framework of the Ministry of Health’s continuous monitoring of current conditions and its commitment to maintaining the highest levels of readiness, ensuring the sustainability of health services and the protection of public health.
