Kuwait: Reckless Iranian attack with missiles and drones targets military, strategic, and civilian facilities today

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, announced that the Armed Forces had detected hostile ballistic missiles and drones within Kuwaiti airspace since dawn on Friday, and that they were intercepted and dealt with.

Colonel Al-Atwan added in a press statement that the reprehensible Iranian aggression resulted in the targeting of several Kuwaiti Army facilities and camps by hostile drones, leading to injuries among members of the Kuwaiti Land Force while carrying out their duties. The injured received necessary medical care and treatment, and their health conditions are stable.

He further stated that several vital and civilian facilities were targeted, including one of the power stations and a water desalination plant, which caused a fire and damaged several station facilities and power generation units. In addition, debris fell in various locations across the country, resulting in material damage without any recorded human casualties.

Colonel Al-Atwan emphasized that the Armed Forces continue to carry out their duties and responsibilities with high efficiency, under conditions of continuous readiness and constant preparedness, taking all necessary measures to protect the nation’s sovereignty and safeguard its security and stability, in coordination with the relevant authorities, to ensure the safety of citizens and residents.
