Kuwait University: Applications for enrollment in the first semester of 2026-2027 open from tomorrow until July 28
Dr. Fadel Aziz, Acting Dean of Admissions and Registration at Kuwait University, announced that the period for submitting enrollment applications for the first semester of the 2026-2027 academic year will begin tomorrow, Saturday, and run until July 28, via the electronic admissions system.
In a press statement on Friday, Aziz said that the application process includes Kuwaiti students who graduated from the unified system, the Religious Institute, and the American High School, as well as graduates of the English High School expected to graduate from schools in the State of Kuwait.
He clarified that enrollment applications are submitted electronically through the admissions system. Meanwhile, the Dean of Admissions and Registration, located at the Sabah Al-Salem University City, will receive applications from Kuwaiti students holding secondary school certificates obtained outside the State of Kuwait, from July 22 to July 28, in accordance with the approved timeline.
He added that the university continues to accept transfer applications from students transferring from other universities, colleges of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, the Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences, as well as members of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces and the National Guard, until August 13, in accordance with the regulations and controls governing transfer and admissions processes. He noted that the approval of admissions for Kuwaiti students who graduated from American and English high schools and applied electronically will take place between August 3 and 4.
Aziz emphasized that admission to Kuwait University is based on the approved admissions policy, the equivalent grade point average or secondary school certificate percentage, according to the requirements of each college and the minimum admission thresholds, which vary from one college to another. He urged students to select and rank their preferences according to their true priorities, and not to limit themselves to listing only one preference.
He explained that carefully ranking preferences gives students greater opportunities for admission to their desired majors, based on their grades and fulfillment of admission conditions. He called on students to review the admissions guide, utilize academic counseling services, and verify the accuracy of submitted data and documents before completing their enrollment applications. This will facilitate the admissions process with ease and precision, enabling students to make informed academic decisions that align with their abilities and aspirations.
