Jordanian Armed Forces: We shot down three Iranian missiles targeting the Kingdom's territory

Jordan’s air defense systems intercepted and shot down three Iranian missiles that entered Jordanian airspace on Friday morning, targeting the kingdom’s territory.

The Jordan News Agency (Petra) quoted a senior military source from the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army, stating that the response to the missiles “was carried out in accordance with established defensive measures and operational procedures, ensuring the protection of the kingdom’s sovereignty, the security of its airspace, and the safety and well-being of its citizens.”

The source clarified that the interception and destruction of the missiles resulted in no casualties or material damage. Meanwhile, teams from the Royal Engineers Corps began their work at sites where debris fell, securing and handling the remnants in accordance with established technical and security protocols.

The source urged citizens to obtain news and information from official sources and to refrain from spreading rumors or circulating unverified reports.

The kingdom, which hosts U.S. troops and aircraft, has long been a target of Iranian attacks, as part of Tehran’s retaliation for the expanding scope of U.S. airstrikes against Iran.
