Widespread calls for mobilization to Al-Aqsa Mosque tomorrow, Friday, in protest of Israeli attacks

Jerusalem-based authorities and popular figures have called on residents of Jerusalem and Palestinians inside Israel to travel to the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and participate in Friday prayers in the largest gathering of worshippers, amid escalating Israeli attacks and measures against the holy site.

The calls emphasized that “the large turnout in Al-Aqsa’s courtyards serves to reaffirm commitment to its Islamic identity and to reject attempts by the occupation to impose control and alter its historical and legal reality,” stressing the importance of continuous presence and vigilance at the mosque to protect it from ongoing violations.

According to the Palestinian Al-Aqsa Channel on Thursday, “these calls come as the occupation and settlers continue to escalate their raids on Al-Aqsa and impose strict entry measures for worshippers, amid warnings from Jerusalem-based figures about the risks to the historical and legal status quo at the holy site.”
