AUM contributes KD 2 million to the Emergency Response Fund

In line with its social responsibility and national role, the American University of the Middle East (AUM) contributed two million dinars to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, a move that embodies its enduring commitment to the pivotal role of developmental initiatives in safeguarding the nation’s assets and supporting its stability.
The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development announced yesterday AUM’s generous contribution to the “Kuwait Emergency Response Fund” initiative, which was launched on July 5 with the aim of enhancing national readiness and strengthening Kuwait’s capacity to confront challenges and exceptional circumstances.
In a statement, the Fund said, “The contribution stems from the university’s firm social and national responsibility, and its persistent efforts to support government initiatives aimed at enhancing national readiness to face crises.”
AUM’s contribution comes as part of its active participation in national developmental community initiatives, distinguished by its rich record of social responsibility throughout its long journey of serving society and the nation.
AUM’s initiative represents a pioneering social and national addition to its distinguished academic record. The Fund’s statement highlighted the university’s status as “one of the leading educational institutions in Kuwait, holding international accreditation from the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education in the United Kingdom. It also ranked first among universities in Kuwait for the 2026–2027 academic year according to the global university rankings issued by the British Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) organization, as well as being ranked among the top 20 universities in the Arab world according to the institution’s regional rankings.”
The establishment of the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund comes within the framework of an initiative proposed by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and approved by the Council of Ministers. The Kuwait Fund will manage and fully oversee its operations, aiming to create institutional resilience capable of responding immediately to emergency developments through a comprehensive national vision.
In this context, the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development renewed its call for all government institutions, public authorities, private sector companies, and national financial institutions to actively contribute to supporting this strategic fund, as it represents a strategic national investment that enhances Kuwait’s developmental security and comprehensive readiness to face all circumstances.
