The White House: Trump's speech will be about the integrity of our elections

The White House announced that U.S. President Donald Trump will deliver a prime-time address to the nation on Thursday evening, focusing on “the integrity of U.S. elections,” and affirmed that the speech will cover measures to safeguard the electoral process.

White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said at a press briefing that Trump “will deliver an important address to the nation regarding the protection of our election’s integrity,” urging Americans to watch it.

On the Iranian file, Leavitt affirmed that Trump “has demonstrated to the world that the United States is capable of striking Iran at any time and in any place,” stressing that the president “is always open to diplomatic solutions, as he believes in achieving peace through strength.”

She added that Iran continues talks with the United States, expressing its desire to reach an agreement, and pointed to divisions within the Iranian regime, noting that a segment of it supports striking a deal with Washington.
