Qatar categorically rejects media reports claiming it agreed to participate in military action against Iran

The Qatar International Media Office expressed on Thursday Qatar’s firm rejection of false reports published by media outlets affiliated with the Israeli occupation, which claimed that Qatar had agreed to participate in military operations against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In a statement, the office emphasized that the circulation of these allegations was orchestrated by individuals seeking to draw Qatar into the conflict, undermine its pivotal role in mediation, and push the region toward further escalation and chaos. It noted in this context that Qatari officials have repeatedly affirmed since the onset of the conflict that Qatar has not participated and will not participate in any military action against any neighboring country.
The office also stressed that Qatar will not allow such misleading claims to undermine its continuous diplomatic efforts to end the conflict. It will continue its good offices, in coordination with regional and international partners, to reach a comprehensive and sustainable agreement that addresses the concerns of all relevant parties.
It is worth noting that the Qatar International Media Office was established by an emiri decree issued in 2023, with the mandate to clarify facts and highlight Qatar’s achievements, priorities, and initiatives across various fields to the global public.
The office is also responsible for strengthening media relations with various regional and international media outlets, issuing press statements on foreign affairs topics, and responding to inquiries from journalists and international media.
