Ministry of Education: 107 students participated in the summer robotics club

Relevant authorities within the Ministry of Education continue to operate the Summer Robotics Club, organized by the General Directorate of Technical Guidance for Computers, with the aim of cultivating a generation equipped with programming, engineering design, and innovation skills based on the STEAM methodology, and preparing them to participate in local, regional, and international competitions.

In this context, Abdulridha bin Nakhi, head of the Boys’ Robotics Club, emphasized that the club provides an applied educational environment that helps reinforce concepts of programming and robotics among students, while developing their computational, creative, and problem-solving skills through hands-on training in designing, programming, and implementing technical projects. This approach enhances their abilities in innovation, teamwork, and leadership.

He clarified that the club accepts students from the first grade of primary school through the twelfth grade, noting that the number of participants has reached 107 learners so far. These participants have been divided into seven groups according to their age and educational levels, ensuring that training programs are tailored to their capabilities and maximize the benefits of the program.

He added that the training plan progresses from learning the basics of robotics and its components, to programming, manufacturing, and implementing practical projects, culminating in the design of specialized robots, such as soccer robots and sumo robots, before moving on to project presentations and final competitions that showcase the participants’ achievements and acquired skills during the club’s duration.
