Starmer heads to Kyiv for talks with Zelensky

A statement issued by Downing Street announced that outgoing British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will travel to Kyiv today, Thursday, to hold talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in one of his final visits in his capacity as head of government.
The statement added that Starmer, who is scheduled to leave office on Monday, will discuss progress made in supplying Ukraine with equipment for its war against the Russian invasion, as well as the priorities allies should focus on in the coming phase.
It is expected that Andy Burnham will be officially announced as leader of the Labour Party tomorrow, Friday, and will be formally sworn in as Britain’s prime minister on Monday.
