Ahmed Al-Nasser Honors Omani Ambassador on Completion of His Duties

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Nasser, hosted a ceremony to honor the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Kuwait, Dr. Saleh Al-Kharousi, marking the conclusion of his tenure in the country. The event took place yesterday evening at the Shuwaikh Palace, attended by several officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, diplomats, and members of the Omani Embassy in Kuwait. The gathering reflected the deep appreciation enjoyed by Ambassador Al-Kharousi and the significant progress witnessed in bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations during his tenure.
On this occasion, Al-Nasser praised the sincere efforts made by the Omani Ambassador to support and strengthen the robust and fraternal ties between the State of Kuwait and the Sultanate of Oman, wishing him continued success and prosperity in his future endeavors.
For his part, the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Kuwait expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation to former Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Nasser for the honor ceremony, emphasizing that this kind gesture reflects the deep fraternal relations uniting the two countries and their peoples.
In a statement to journalists, Al-Kharousi said that hosting by Al-Nasser, in the presence of numerous current and former officials and diplomats, was a source of pride and appreciation. He added that the recognition at this venue was a "kind touch not surprising" from Sheikh Al-Nasser.
He affirmed that his tenure in Kuwait witnessed many achievements that contributed to enhancing bilateral relations, foremost among them the exchange of visits at the summit level, particularly the state visit made by Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq to Kuwait, and his meeting with His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad. This contributed to consolidating the entrenched fraternal relations between the two countries.
The Omani Ambassador expressed his hope that relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Kuwait would witness further progress, development, and growth, and that God would perpetuate security, stability, and prosperity for both countries, thereby further enhancing the trajectory of the Cooperation Council for Arab States of the Gulf.
He once again directed his thanks to Al-Nasser, affirming that his memories in Kuwait would remain deeply rooted, and expressed his feelings by saying, "I am returning to my country, but Kuwait will remain in my heart, and I will never forget Kuwait."
