Kazma signs Al-Hajji... Qadsia loans Al-Sharifi to Al-Tadamun
Kuwait officials have signed Al-Kuwait and national team defender Fahad Al-Hajri to bolster the first-team squad for the 2026-2027 season in a free transfer, following the expiration of his contract with his former club. Kazma had previously announced the signing of Brazilian left winger Patrick Robson.
Omar Al-Mulla, secretary-general of Kazma Club and head of the football department, confirmed that the signing of Al-Hajri was at the request of the technical staff led by Croatian coach Tadic. In a statement to "Al-Jarida," he added that the player was a key figure for his former club and the senior national team, describing him as a strong addition to the Orange defense for the upcoming season. Regarding the potential signing of Al-Kuwait’s Ahmed Al-Zanqi, Al-Mulla stated, “There is nothing official regarding the signing of Al-Zanqi or any other player. We are waiting to see what the next few days bring, until the files of local and foreign transfers are closed, especially since the current focus is on signing a foreign professional in the striker position.”
Al-Mulla clarified that the signing of Brazilian Robson replaced Sudanese player Omar Abdullah, whose contract was not renewed by the club in accordance with Tadic’s wishes.
On another note, Al-Mulla indicated that Kazma will begin its training sessions on the 20th of this month, with all professional and local players participating. He explained that the team will hold a training camp in Turkey from the 26th of this month until August 14 next year, which will include a series of progressive friendly matches. Al-Mulla concluded his statement by noting that team star Nasser Al-Faraj, who recently announced his retirement, has officially joined the first-team technical staff.
Meanwhile, the technical staff of Al-Qadsiya’s first-team football squad, led by coach Mohamed Ibrahim, is expected to announce the team’s preparation program for the upcoming season, including the start date of training, the external camp schedule, and the number of friendly matches the team will play. In addition, club officials approved a solidarity request to sign international left-back Mohammed Al-Sharafi on a one-year loan, providing the player with the opportunity to participate regularly.
Al-Tadamun is also close to signing player Faisal Al-Shatti, who received offers from Al-Salmiya and Kazma but chose to join Al-Fahaheel. On a different note, a source at Al-Qadsiya revealed that coach Mohamed Ibrahim remains attached to player Eid Al-Rashidi, denying that he has received any offers from the Egyptian club ZED FC to date. Should formal negotiations take place, the decision will be made in coordination between the management, the football department, and the coach.
