Ukraine Escalates Naval War Against Russia

Ukraine targeted 20 Russian tankers in the Black Sea, according to Ukrainian drone forces commander Robert Provedin, after 116 ships were attacked in the Sea of Azov over the past few days. In response, three people were killed in a Russian attack on the southern Ukrainian city of Odesa, while Moscow claimed responsibility for strikes on ports in southern Ukraine. Three people were also killed in Sumy by Russian glide bombs, according to the governor of this border region with Russia.

Meanwhile, Germany confirmed it would participate in the first military exercise of the “Coalition of the Willing,” a group of Ukraine’s allies initiated by France and comprising around 35 countries. During a visit to Kyiv today, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced a partnership between the European Union and Ukraine to enhance joint production of drones.
