It clarified that the meeting was held to strengthen public-private partnership and continue efforts aimed at improving the business environment and raising Kuwait’s competitiveness in the Cross-Border Trade Index.
The statement noted that the meeting discussed the main challenges facing the automotive sector and importers, and addressed proposals and observations submitted to contribute to reaching practical, implementable solutions that support trade and investment flows. It reaffirmed its commitment to continuously developing customs procedures by simplifying them, accelerating cargo release processes, expanding the scope of electronic services, and enhancing integration and coordination with relevant government entities, thereby reducing time and costs for the business community and improving service efficiency in accordance with international best practices.
It further clarified that all observations and proposals would be studied within the regulatory framework, in the interest of the public good, while continuing to implement reform and development programs that contribute to enhancing customs performance efficiency, strengthening Kuwait’s position in international indices, and supporting sustainable economic growth.
