Thai Ambassador to Al-Jarida: No Kuwaitis among victims of Bangkok restaurant fire

The Thai Ambassador to Kuwait, Songchai Chaipatiyot, told Al-Jarida that there are no Kuwaiti citizens among the victims of a fire that broke out in a restaurant in the Chatuchak area of the Thai capital, Bangkok, according to the latest official data released by Thai authorities.

The ambassador clarified that an official report issued at 9:00 a.m. yesterday Bangkok time listed 26 individuals confirmed dead as a result of the incident, noting that the list did not include any Kuwaiti citizens.

He pointed out that the official body responsible for assisting foreign tourists also confirmed that it has not yet received any report indicating the presence of any Kuwaiti citizen at the scene or among those affected.

A major fire had erupted early the day before yesterday inside a restaurant in the Chatuchak area of Bangkok, resulting in several casualties, while Thai authorities continue their investigations to determine the causes and circumstances of the blaze.
