Al-Yousef: Golden Residency Enhances Investment Attraction and Consolidates Kuwait's Status

In line with government initiatives aimed at supporting the national economy and enhancing the investment climate in the State of Kuwait, His Excellency the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Youssef Al-Saud Al-Sabah, handed over the first Golden Residency permit, valid for 15 years, to Yusuf Ali Musliam, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Lulu International Holding Group. This was done as part of the Golden Residency system, which has been approved in accordance with established regulations and conditions, in the presence of Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Supporting Security Services, Brigadier General Fawaz Al-Roumi.

His Excellency Sheikh Fahad Youssef Al-Saud Al-Sabah further emphasized that granting the Golden Residency aligns with the state’s vision to provide a stable and stimulating investment environment, and to strengthen confidence in the administrative and legislative framework, thereby contributing to supporting the national economy and opening broader horizons for sustainable development.

He clarified that the Ministry of Interior, in coordination and cooperation with the Investment Promotion Authority and the Public Authority for Civil Information, has developed a comprehensive Golden Residency system based on clear principles and standards that reflect best practices, achieving a balance between facilitating procedures and maintaining legal and regulatory frameworks.

The Minister of Interior noted that granting the Golden Residency reflects the state’s commitment to supporting partnerships with the investment sector and enabling investors to conduct their business in a safe and stable environment. He affirmed that efforts to update systems and procedures will continue to keep pace with economic and developmental changes.
