The Center’s Sustainability Report Affirms Commitment to Transparency

Preparing sustainability reports represents a deliberate commitment to transparency and long-term value creation. As a leading asset management and investment banking institution in the Middle East and North Africa, the Center recognizes that its role in the financial sector environment entails responsibilities that extend beyond achieving investment returns. By integrating sustainability, governance, and corporate social responsibility principles into its operations, governance frameworks, and community initiatives, the Center strives to deliver comprehensive, sustainable value aligned with the priorities of Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

Commenting on the report’s release, Sandous Al-Saad, Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications at the Center, stated, “The publication of our fifth Sustainability Report reflects the Center’s continuous progress in embedding sustainability, governance, and corporate social responsibility principles across its various business activities, governance framework, and stakeholder engagement efforts.”

Al-Saad added that “sustainability has become an integral part of our approach to risk management, opportunity exploration, and long-term value creation. As we celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary in 2024, we have continued to focus on strengthening governance principles, supporting responsible investment practices, and achieving sustainable growth that benefits our clients, shareholders, employees, and society as a whole.”

She noted that “our performance during the reporting period confirms that good governance, disciplined execution, and sustainable practices are integrated elements of success. We will continue our commitment to advancing our priorities in sustainability, governance, and corporate social responsibility, contributing to the achievement of Kuwait’s economic development goals and supporting a more resilient and sustainable financial sector.”

She further stated, “At the Center, sustainability extends beyond reporting and disclosures to encompass how we interact with our employees, clients, partners, and the communities we serve. During the reporting period, we continued to invest in youth capacity building, financial literacy, employee well-being, digital transformation, and strategic community partnerships that deliver tangible and sustainable impact.” She explained that “this report reflects our commitment to transparency and effective communication with stakeholders. It also highlights initiatives that support our vision for responsible growth and long-term value creation.”

Regarding governance, the report highlights continuous progress in governance practices and responsible business conduct. During the reporting period, the Center won 15 regional and international awards in the fields of investment banking, asset management, real estate investment, advisory services, and digital innovation. The company also maintained a strong compliance culture, achieving a 100% completion rate in training programs related to anti-money laundering and data privacy, with no customer data breaches recorded throughout the reporting period.

Supporting local economic development remained a key priority, with spending on local suppliers reaching 87.74% in 2024 and rising to 89.65% in 2025.

On the social front, the Center continued to invest in human capital and contribute to the development of national competencies. The proportion of Kuwaiti nationals increased from 51.33% in 2024 to 52.25% in 2025, while the representation of women in the workforce remained stable at approximately 33.5% during the reporting period.

The company provided 7,816 training hours to its employees during 2024 and 2025, and conducted performance reviews and professional development assessments for the majority of its staff. The Center maintained a 100% employee retention rate following parental leave over the two-year period, and recorded no work-related injuries or fatalities throughout the reporting period. Through the Center’s graduate development program, the company continued to support young people in gaining practical experience and preparing for successful career paths in the financial sector.

On the environmental front, the Center continued implementing initiatives aimed at reducing the environmental impact of its operational activities and improving resource efficiency. Paper consumption decreased by 20% between 2024 and 2025, reflecting the company’s ongoing transition toward digital operations and reduced reliance on paper documentation.

Among the notable achievements during the reporting period was the receipt of the LEED v4.1 Gold certification by Al Noudha Tower, one of the assets in the Center Real Estate Fund’s portfolio, making it the first property within the Center’s real estate portfolio in the Middle East and North Africa to achieve this certification. The report also highlights the company’s performance in greenhouse gas emissions and its continuous efforts to enhance environmental data management and identify additional opportunities to reduce emissions.

The reporting period also saw positive financial performance, with revenues rising from 20.3 million dinars in 2024 to 28.6 million dinars in 2025, representing growth exceeding 40%. Additionally, the economic value created and distributed increased significantly during the same period, reflecting the company’s ability to generate sustainable value for stakeholders while maintaining disciplined and sustainable growth.

The Center’s community service efforts during the reporting period covered areas such as youth capacity building, financial literacy promotion, humanitarian support, and women’s empowerment. Partnerships and donations contributed to supporting various local and international institutions, including Loyaak, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the Kuwait Association for the Care of Children in Hospitals, the Lebanese Pediatric Cancer Center, the Kuwait Association for the Disabled, and others.

For over five decades, the Center has maintained its position as one of the leading financial institutions in the region, remaining committed to integrating sustainability, governance, and corporate social responsibility considerations into its strategy and operations, thereby supporting Kuwait’s national development priorities and delivering long-term value to customers, shareholders, employees, and the community.
