Israeli Defense Minister: Destruction of Gaza is a calculated policy and gives me a good feeling

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz boasted during a tour of northern Gaza Strip about the destruction that had befallen it, describing it as “the result of a calculated policy” and saying that witnessing it gave him a good feeling.
Katz, in an interview conducted during the tour and broadcast by Israel’s Channel 14 on Monday evening, said he intends to establish three military-settlement outposts in the Gaza Strip.
When asked about his feelings regarding the scene of destruction in Gaza, Katz answered without hesitation: “It’s a good feeling, isn’t it?” He claimed that all this destruction came “as a result of a calculated policy aimed at eliminating threats.”
He added, “Instead of the raid approach—going in and out—the Israeli military is now inside, the militants are outside, and homes are destroyed.”
Channel 14 reported that the most striking moment during the tour came when Katz outlined a new strategic objective: establishing a permanent Jewish presence in northern Gaza Strip.
