UAE condemns continued attacks on Kuwait's consulate in Basra and demands accountability for those responsible

The United Arab Emirates today, Monday, strongly condemned and expressed its deepest disapproval of the continued attacks targeting the Kuwaiti General Consulate in the Iraqi city of Basra.
In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the UAE’s unequivocal rejection of such attacks, emphasizing the necessity of protecting diplomatic missions and their personnel in accordance with international laws and norms, particularly the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
It further stated that the UAE has called on the Iraqi government to fulfill its legal obligations to secure the consulate and its staff, to investigate the circumstances surrounding these attacks, to ensure they are not repeated, and to take the necessary legal measures to hold those responsible accountable.
