The "Arab Media Excellence Committee" issues recommendations to develop its award

Al-Haifi clarified that the committee also recommended limiting the number of nominated works from each country to three per category, in order to raise the level of competition and improve the quality of entries. He added that the committee proposed introducing a new category within the television and radio awards, titled “Best Joint Arab Media Work,” with the aim of encouraging joint Arab media production and enhancing cooperation among Arab media institutions.

He emphasized that the committee exceptionally recommended increasing the number of honorees in the recognition category to 15, in appreciation of the contributions of Arab media institutions and figures and their role in supporting Arab media work and elevating its standards. He added that these recommendations will be submitted to the relevant authorities for consideration and approval as part of the procedures governing future editions of the award, thereby contributing to its development and strengthening its position in the Arab media landscape.

The jury committee held its first meeting today, chaired by Al-Haifi, with representatives from Egypt, Yemen, Mauritania, Morocco, Syria, and Libya participating, to review the media entries nominated for the award, which are divided into four categories: print media, radio, television, and digital.
