Israeli occupation artillery shelling on southern Lebanon

Israeli artillery bombarded the town of Kafr Kila in southern Lebanon on Monday afternoon. An Israeli occupation force advanced into the outskirts of the southern town of Baalbek, demolishing several homes, according to Lebanon’s official National News Agency.

Israeli artillery also shelled several areas in southern Lebanon on Monday afternoon. The Israeli occupation army continued to demolish and burn homes in the southern neighborhoods of the town of Hittin in southern Lebanon on Monday morning.

It is recalled that the Israeli occupation has been waging war on Lebanon since March 2 of last year, following the launch of rockets by Hezbollah into northern Israel. Israeli forces have occupied several towns in southern Lebanon.

Israeli occupation airstrikes have continued to target wide areas in southern and eastern Lebanon, following the initial announcement of a ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel on April 16 of last year, its extension on April 23 for three weeks, and its further extension on May 15 for 45 days.

A ceasefire was announced on the 20th of last month, which held for several days before Israeli attacks resumed, involving drone strikes and artillery shelling on southern Lebanon.
