The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development announced today that Al Tamdeen Group has contributed $5 million to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, launched recently by the Fund, with the aim of bolstering national preparedness and enhancing the country’s capacity to confront challenges and exceptional circumstances.

In a statement, the Fund explained that Al Tamdeen Group’s contribution stems from its national and social responsibility, and its steadfast commitment to supporting initiatives that serve Kuwait and strengthen its ability to respond effectively under various conditions, thereby helping to safeguard national achievements, preserve state stability, ensure the continuity of services, and maintain the sustainability of vital infrastructure, all of which reinforce the nation’s developmental security.

The Fund noted in its statement that “Al Tamdeen Group is among the leading groups in real estate development and investment in the region, comprising a number of specialized and distinguished companies operating in the sectors of real estate development, retail, investment, and entertainment. The group aims to elevate the quality of life and support the local economy by focusing on innovation and sustainability, and by delivering exceptional experiences to the communities it serves. Its investments also extend to the retail, hospitality, entertainment, media, and digital technology sectors, reflecting its vision of developing landmark projects that contribute to enriching Kuwait’s urban landscape, enhancing economic and social development, and meeting the aspirations of current and future generations.”

Earlier, on the 5th of the current month, the Kuwait Fund announced the establishment of the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund as part of an initiative submitted by the Fund and approved by the esteemed Council of Ministers. The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development will manage the fund and exercise full oversight of its activities, thereby strengthening national preparedness and enhancing the state’s capacity to face various challenges and exceptional circumstances.

In this context, the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development renewed its call for government institutions, public authorities, the private sector, and national financial institutions to contribute to supporting the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, based on shared national responsibility, as it represents a national investment in strengthening developmental security, sustaining vital infrastructure, and supporting the state’s readiness to confront various challenges and exceptional circumstances.
