Embolo breaks down in tears after his sending-off

Swiss national team player Randal Kolo Muani broke down in tears after receiving a second yellow card for simulation in the match his team lost 3-1 to Argentina after extra time in the Round of 16 of the World Cup, but sympathy for him was limited.
Muani received a red card in Kansas City five minutes after Switzerland had equalized through Dan Ndoye.
The referee initially showed a yellow card to Argentine player Leandro Paredes for a foul, but reversed the decision after a review by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), and instead issued Muani a second yellow card for clearly simulating a fall in the 72nd minute. His teammates had to console him on the pitch.
Argentina exploited their numerical advantage to control the match and scored two goals in extra time to secure their place in the quarter-finals, where they will face England.
