Electricity and Media: Partnership to Promote Conservation

The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, represented by the national campaign for conserving energy and water, “Waffir,” has launched a strategic media partnership with the Ministry of Information. This step aims to unify media and awareness-raising efforts to enhance the culture of conserving electricity and water use, and to instill positive behaviors among members of society, thereby supporting the state’s direction in preserving natural resources and achieving sustainable development.

This partnership comes within the framework of integration among state institutions and stems from the importance of unifying media and awareness messages to raise public awareness of the significance of optimal electricity and water use, and to motivate various segments of society to adopt sustainable conservation practices.

The partnership includes implementing a comprehensive media plan that involves intensifying the presence of the “Waffir” national campaign through television and radio programs, producing diverse awareness content suitable for different age groups, as well as preparing awareness flash videos, filmed field reports, short media messages, and hosting experts on talk shows to provide practical guidance that contributes to strengthening the culture of rational electricity and water use.
