Worba and the Economic Association Sign Memorandum of Understanding

Worqa Bank and the Kuwait Economic Association have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at establishing a strategic partnership that contributes to supporting economic development and enhancing financial and economic culture. This collaboration will be realized through joint programs and initiatives that combine banking expertise with academic and research perspectives, serving Kuwaiti society and aligning with sustainable development goals.
This agreement reflects Worqa Bank’s commitment to expanding its partnerships with civil society organizations and specialized entities, thereby strengthening its role in corporate social responsibility and supporting distinctive initiatives that elevate economic awareness and bolster national competencies.
Under the terms of the memorandum, Worqa Bank will provide one-year sponsorship for the Kuwait Economic Association’s activities, which include seminars, conferences, training courses, research, and economic reports. The bank will also support specialized initiatives and projects related to economic awareness, contributing to enhanced economic dialogue and the exchange of expertise across various sectors.
The agreement also includes cooperation in the periodic issuance of economic studies and reports, providing scientific analyses that highlight key economic developments and support decision-makers, researchers, and those interested in economic affairs.
Furthermore, the pact stipulates collaboration in organizing training programs and workshops, and granting Worqa Bank employees the opportunity to participate in scientific and economic activities organized by the Association, thereby enhancing professional development and raising awareness of the latest economic and investment trends.
Cooperation will also extend to utilizing the facilities of the Kuwait Economic Association to organize events, meetings, and training programs, ensuring the continuity of joint initiatives and broadening their impact.
Commenting on the occasion, Hamad Al-Sayer, Chairman of the Board at Worqa Bank, stated: “This partnership reflects Worqa Bank’s conviction that investing in knowledge and scientific research is fundamental to achieving sustainable development.
