Interior Ministry: Dentist arrested for offering drugs in exchange for indecent acts

As part of the ongoing efforts by the Criminal Security Sector to apprehend violators and fugitives and combat negative phenomena, the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations, represented by the Department for Combating Human Trafficking and Negative Phenomena, arrested a Kuwaiti national working as a dentist on charges of possessing narcotic and psychotropic substances with intent to consume and trade them.

Based on precise investigations and intensified surveillance and follow-up operations, a well-planned ambush was set up, resulting in the arrest of the suspect while in possession of the drugs in one of the rented rooms.

A search of the premises revealed two bags containing pieces of cannabis, three bags containing methamphetamine, ten capsules of Lyrica, a bag containing powdered narcotics, as well as paraphernalia for drug use.

To continue legal procedures, and based on an authorization issued by the Public Prosecution, officers proceeded to the suspect’s residence and conducted a search, where additional hidden quantities were found inside his private wardrobe, including a plastic container holding methamphetamine, 46 tablets of Captagon, three pieces of cannabis of varying sizes, and a quantity of various psychotropic tablets.
