Ministry of Education: Summer clubs are an environment for fostering creativity and making productive use of leisure time

The Ministry of Education continues to implement its summer programs aimed at developing students’ capabilities and making productive use of their free time during the summer break. Dr. Fahd Al-Sa’eed, Acting Director of the Art Guidance Department for Practical Studies, emphasized that the Practical Studies Club, part of the evening summer clubs, represents an interactive educational environment that combines learning with entertainment.

Al-Sa’eed clarified that the club targets boys and girls aged 8 to 14, operating through two dedicated centers for participants. The boys’ center is located at Saleh Al-Shahab Secondary School, under the jurisdiction of the Hawalli Educational Zone, while the girls’ center is situated at Cordoba Girls’ Secondary School, under the Capital Educational Zone.

He added that the club offers a diverse range of practical activities aligned with technological advancements, including interior design and technical drawing, as well as activities involving electronic and electrical devices. Additionally, students are introduced to 3D printing technologies and their use in shaping materials and producing practical models. The program also includes projects focused on recycling materials and raw resources to transform them into value-added products, thereby fostering among students a culture of environmental conservation and sustainability.
