Iraqi confirms that Iran "fulfilled its word" regarding the memorandum of understanding with the United States

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi affirmed on Saturday that Tehran had “kept its word” regarding the memorandum of understanding with the United States, following U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement that the ceasefire had ended, with his approval for new talks.

Araghchi wrote on the X platform, “Iran has kept its word so far, unlike the so-called U.S. Treasury Secretary, who is violating paragraph 9 of the memorandum of understanding,” referring to a clause in the document stipulating that the United States would not deploy additional forces to the region.
