His Highness the Amir: Supporting investment and economic opportunities and fostering a competitive business environment

His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, today received the Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority, Sheikh Dr. Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; the Managing Director of the Public Authority for Investment, Sheikh Saud Salem Abdulaziz Al-Sabah; the Assistant Director General for Investment Operations at the Direct Investment Promotion Authority, Sheikh Abdullah Sabah Hamoud Al-Sabah; and the Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield Properties, Bruce Flatt, along with the accompanying delegation, on the occasion of their visit to the country.

His Highness the Amir emphasized the importance of supporting investment and economic opportunities and fostering a competitive business environment that strengthens strategic partnerships with foreign companies, thereby facilitating the exchange and localization of expertise, attracting global investments to bolster the national economy, creating job opportunities for youth, and driving sustainable development in the country.

For his part, the Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield Properties and the accompanying delegation expressed their deep pride and appreciation for the meeting with His Highness, reaffirming the company’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with relevant authorities in the State of Kuwait and exploring further investment opportunities to support developmental projects and expand the scope of their partnership, which will contribute to the growth and development of the national economy.
