As the second-round exams for secondary and middle school students begin on Monday morning, the 13th of this month, educational sources told Al-Jarida that the Ministry has finalized the designation of examination committees for the secondary stage.
The sources stated that the relevant authorities within the Ministry of Education have designated 36 schools to host second-round examination committees for students in grades 10 through 12, across the scientific, literary, and religious education streams, as well as for adult education and home-schooled students. They clarified that the committees would be distributed with three schools for boys and three for girls, with school assignments determined based on the geographical coverage of each educational district to ensure that schools serve the largest possible number of nearby residential areas.
The sources noted that the names of committee chairs and members responsible for overseeing the examination process throughout its duration have been appointed. The Ministry will announce the second-round examination schedules during the current week, allowing students to check their exam locations and the schools where they will take their tests.
Students can also view their examination committee locations via the Ministry’s website using their admission ticket numbers. The exams will conclude on the 22nd of this month, with tests held consecutively without any mid-week breaks. Report cards will be distributed to students on the 23rd, which will be the last working day for staff assigned to second-round examination duties.
It is worth noting that the secondary stage document issued in 2016 defined the conditions for second-round exams. It specified that second-round examinations would cover the curriculum of the second semester for students who attended the exams for both the first and second semesters but failed to achieve a passing grade. In such cases, students retain their first-round total scores. For other cases, such as students absent from the first-semester exam with a valid excuse who attended the second-semester exam, or absent with an invalid excuse who attended the second-semester exam; or students who attended the first-semester exam but were absent from the second-semester exam with a valid excuse; or those who attended the first-semester exam but were absent from the second-semester exam with an invalid excuse—examinations will be organized covering the entire curriculum.
