Indian Foreign Minister Visits Kuwait This Week

The ministry stated in a statement that Jaishankar will hold meetings with senior officials during his visit to Kuwait to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations, as well as exchange views on regional developments and issues of common interest, in line with both countries’ commitment to expanding the horizons of cooperation across various fields.

It added that the Gulf tour would serve as an opportunity to strengthen strategic partnerships between India and the four Gulf states, before the minister heads to New York on July 13 to launch India’s official campaign for a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council for the 2028–2029 term.

The minister will conclude his tour with a visit to Brussels on July 14 and 15, where he will participate in the third India–European Union Trade and Technology Council meeting, alongside holding talks with European Union and Belgian officials.
