Two decrees were published in the official gazette, “Kuwait Today,” revoking Kuwaiti citizenship from certain individuals.
Decree No. 173 of 2026 stipulates that Kuwaiti citizenship certificates are revoked from four individuals, as well as from those who acquired it through them by way of dependency.
Decree No. 174 of 2026 stipulates that Kuwaiti citizenship is revoked from two individuals, as well as from those who acquired it alongside them by way of dependency. Article 2 of both decrees states that the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior shall execute these decrees, which shall take effect from the date of their issuance and be published in the official gazette.
