Two decrees were published in the official journal, “Kuwait Today,” revoking Kuwaiti nationality from certain individuals. Decree No. 173 of 2026 stipulates that Kuwaiti nationality certificates are revoked from four persons, as well as from those who acquired it through them by way of dependency. Decree No. 174 of 2026 stipulates that Kuwaiti nationality is revoked from two persons, as well as from those who acquired it alongside them by way of dependency. Article 2 of both decrees provides that the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior shall implement these decrees, which shall take effect from the date of their issuance and be published in the official journal.
