The official spokesperson for the “Alliance to Support Legitimacy in Yemen” forces, Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, announced that a cruise missile launched by the so-called Houthi terrorist militia toward the Riyadh area was intercepted and destroyed.
This came after the Saudi Civil Defense announced that an alert had been issued via the National Early Warning Platform for Emergency Situations in the cities of Najran and Jizan, followed by the all-clear being declared for both cities, urging the public to follow instructions and to completely avoid gatherings and photography.
Meanwhile, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced the continuation of combat operations against the Houthi group in the Al-Jawf Governorate, as part of the “Fajr al-Yemen” (Dawn of Yemen) operations, confirming that clashes are ongoing on multiple fronts, supported by combat aircraft and drones.
The Yemeni Armed Forces Media Center stated on the “X” platform that forces of the Sixth Military Region engaged in confrontations on the southern and southeastern fronts of Al-Jawf for the third consecutive day yesterday, repelling multiple combat formations pushed by the Houthi group toward the contact lines. It added that combat aircraft and drones carried out strikes targeting Houthi gatherings and positions, resulting in human and material losses among their ranks.
On the eastern fronts of the governorate, the Yemeni Armed Forces continued their combat operations and completed clearing operations in the Al-Dahiza mountain range, following the securing of positions in the Qarn Al-Sa’iri and Malifah mountains, according to the Yemeni Armed Forces.
The statement noted that the forces, in coordination with the First and Second Brigades of the Emergency Forces, continued their advance into areas under Houthi control, breaching their fortifications and trench networks, and dealing with landmines and explosive devices planted by the group.
