Nahla Osman, Director of the Expatriates and Refugees Affairs Department at the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held talks with Yannick Taghan, Deputy Director of the Crisis and Support Center at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the situation of Syrian refugees and ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries. According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the meeting, held in Paris on Friday, discussed the key projects the Center is implementing in Syria through its partners. Both sides agreed to discuss the most important proposals and needs to identify projects that align with Syria’s national priorities. Both sides also emphasized that voluntary repatriation of refugees is linked to the individuals’ own desire to return and contribute to rebuilding their country.
