Social Affairs Minister: Ensuring All Needs of Residents in Care and Elderly Homes Are Met

Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood, affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to providing the highest standards of care and attention to the elderly and children, stressing the need to promptly meet all residents’ needs and address any concerns or deficiencies without delay.

This came during a supervisory visit by Al-Huwail to the Elderly Care Home and the Children’s Care Home, as part of her field tours to monitor operations, ensure the well-being of residents, assess the quality of services provided, and review development and improvement efforts in these facilities.

During the tour, Al-Huwail reviewed the daily services and care provided to residents, met with several of them to check on their well-being and learn about their needs, emphasizing that providing a safe and comprehensive environment for them is a fundamental priority for the Ministry.

She stressed the importance of responding immediately to residents’ needs, continuing to develop facilities, services, and rehabilitative and recreational programs, all aimed at enhancing the level of care provided and ensuring their comfort.

Al-Huwail commended the efforts of staff and workers at the homes, appreciating their dedication to fulfilling their humanitarian duties and their commitment to providing care and attention to residents, and urged them to continue working with a sense of responsibility and to elevate the quality of services.

She confirmed that supervisory visits would continue on a regular basis to monitor operations and closely assess residents’ needs, reiterating that caring for the elderly and children is both a humanitarian and national responsibility that requires swift response and the provision of all means of comfort and attention.
