Bayern Munich Extends Harry Kane's Contract Until 2029

English striker Harry Kane has extended his contract with German club Bayern Munich by two additional years, keeping him with the Bavarian side until the summer of 2029, the club announced on Thursday.

Citing sources familiar with the details of the agreement, The Athletic reported that the new deal makes Kane the highest-paid player in Europe in terms of base salary, although some other players may earn more when bonuses and incentives are taken into account. The site did not disclose the financial details of the contract in figures.

The extension for the 33-year-old Kane, Ballon d’Or winner, England captain, and all-time top scorer for the Three Lions with 91 goals in 125 international appearances, follows an exceptional season since his move from Tottenham to Bayern in the summer of 2023.

Speaking in comments published by the club, Kane said: “I feel incredibly proud to be part of Bayern Munich. I love this club, its fans, and the Allianz Arena. We have a fantastic team and an outstanding coach in Vincent Kompany. The decision to stay here gives me a great sense of pride.”
