Trump: I Will Become a Political Analyst to Examine Reasons for Candidates' Wins or Losses

US President Donald Trump said in a post on his platform, Truth Social: “I will become a political analyst—with all the positive and negative aspects that entails—to examine the reasons behind these candidates’ victories or defeats,” in reference to the Republicans’ losses in the midterm congressional elections. He accompanied the post with an image of a red hat bearing the word “Veto,” and warned that he is prepared to use his executive authority to veto any legislation passed by Democrats “if necessary.” Speaking to Fox News, he added: “They can send me 50 wonderful bills they are enthusiastic about, and I will return them to them stamped with a beautiful seal that says: Veto.”
