The General Directorate of Criminal Investigation successfully arrested five Bangladeshi nationals involved in selling electronic cigarettes to school students through a grocery store operating inside a residence in the Saad Al-Abdullah area. The operation relied on receiving and delivering orders from outside the house, as part of continuous security efforts to protect minors and safeguard their health and safety.

The arrest followed intelligence reports indicating that a grocery store near a school was selling electronic cigarettes to teenagers. Investigations and surveillance confirmed the validity of the reports and uncovered the mechanism for receiving, preparing, and delivering orders.

The first suspect was apprehended outside the residence while caught in the act of selling electronic cigarettes to school students. The remaining suspects were arrested during a search of the premises, where authorities seized 13 large-sized and 23 small-sized boxes of electronic cigarettes, along with 219 small packets of tobacco and 1,722 Kuwaiti dinars representing the proceeds from sales.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, the suspects confessed to operating within the grocery store and dividing their roles, which included supervising workers, collecting payments, receiving orders by phone, preparing them, and delivering them. The suspects and seized items were referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal action against them.
