Public Authority for Housing: Option to Suspend Housing Allowance Deductions via 'Sahl' App

Sultan Al-Abdan The Public Authority for Housing Welfare has launched an electronic service through the unified government application for electronic services (Sahel), enabling citizens to submit requests to suspend the deduction of rental allowance debt from their employers. This initiative is part of the Authority’s efforts to develop its digital services, simplify procedures for citizens, and facilitate the completion of transactions without the need for in-person visits.

The Authority, via its official account, clarified that the service allows citizens to electronically submit a request to suspend the deduction of rental allowance debt by accessing the “Sahel” application, selecting the “Services” icon, then “Public Authority for Housing Welfare,” navigating to “Rental Allowance Services,” and choosing the “Request to Suspend Deduction of Rental Allowance Debt from Employer” service.

It explained that the application process involves filling in the required data, specifying the deduction source, adding any notes if applicable, and then submitting the request electronically. A confirmation message appears, indicating successful receipt of the transaction and its referral to the competent authority to complete the necessary procedures.

The Authority added that the applicant receives an electronic notification confirming acceptance of the request and its referral to the relevant administration for review, with the ability to track the status of the transaction through the application until final approval is issued, which is communicated to the citizen via the “Notifications” icon.

This service aligns with the Public Authority for Housing Welfare’s efforts to expand digital transformation, enhance the efficiency of services provided to citizens, and save time and effort by offering electronic channels that enable easier and more flexible completion and tracking of transactions.
