The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, represented by its Food Inspection Control in the Al-Farwaniya Governorate, issued nine violation reports and destroyed 115 kilograms of meat of unknown origin during an inspection round targeting several food establishments in the governorate.
In a press statement, the Authority said the round was conducted in cooperation with the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Khaitan Food Inspection Centers, as part of efforts to intensify oversight and ensure compliance with approved health regulations and standards.
It noted that other violations observed included operating additional spaces without obtaining the necessary approvals, thawing frozen meat and displaying it for sale as fresh meat, and failing to adhere to general health rules and requirements.
The Authority added that the violations also included the circulation of adulterated food products without possessing a valid health certificate.
The Authority emphasized that this inspection round is part of the Food Inspection Control’s efforts in the Al-Farwaniya Governorate to strengthen oversight of food establishments, combat non-compliant practices, and ensure the safety of food in circulation, thereby safeguarding the health and well-being of consumers.
