The official spokesperson for the “Alliance to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen” forces, Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, stated that the Saudi air defense intercepted and destroyed an enemy drone over the Riyadh area, noting that fragments from the interception fell without causing injuries, and that the site was secured by the competent authorities. Hours earlier, the alliance spokesperson announced that a drone launched by the so-called Houthi militia had been intercepted and destroyed in the southern region, as well as another drone intercepted and destroyed in the eastern region.
In parallel, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced that they carried out 1,119 targeting operations over the past hours as part of Operation “Fajr al-Yemen” (Yemen Dawn), striking Houthi militia leaders and gatherings backed by the Iranian regime, along with their movements, reinforcements, positions, firing points, and supply lines, using combat aircraft, drones, field artillery, and rocket launchers.
The official spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Colonel Majid Al-Nazili, stated in a statement reported by Saba News Agency that the armed forces continued their combat missions under Operation Fajr al-Yemen. The strikes, coordinated with precise ground operations, inflicted losses on militia forces and supported Yemeni Armed Forces units in achieving advances and gaining control of several sites and administrative bodies on the Saada front, while combat operations and operational pressure continue on other fronts.
He confirmed that the operations neutralized 427 members of the terrorist militia and destroyed or damaged 142 military vehicles, equipment, and transport means.
Earlier, the official spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces announced that the terrorist Houthi militia had been targeted again with ballistic missiles at Aden Airport and the Maashiq Palace the previous evening.
Al-Nazili said in a statement that the strikes on airports expose the contradiction between claims of lifting the siege and its actual implementation against Yemenis.
