The match between our national team and the Saudi Arabian national team, played today in the first round of the Gulf Cup for Veterans, ended in a 1-1 draw.
Mohammed Amin opened the scoring early for the Saudi side in the 16th minute, finishing a well-organized attack with a powerful shot that found the back of the net.
Saudi Arabia’s lead did not last long, as Ali Maqshad equalized for the “Veterans of the Blue” in the 29th minute, converting a penalty kick successfully.
With this result, each team earned one point at the start of their campaign in the tournament, postponing the determination of the group leader in a strong group comprising four Gulf teams competing for the title.
