Boushiba Discusses with Algerian Agriculture Minister Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation in Agriculture

Kuwait’s ambassador to Algeria, Nawaf Bousheiba, held talks with Algeria’s Minister of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries, Sid Ali Khaledi, on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector and the importance of exploring available investment opportunities.

In a statement, the Kuwaiti Embassy in Algeria noted that the meeting took place at the minister’s office, attended by senior ministry officials. Both sides emphasized the deep and distinguished ties between the two brotherly countries and the importance of supporting bilateral agricultural cooperation, which receives special official attention from both parties due to its link to food security policies.

The statement indicated that the two parties agreed during the meeting on the need to exchange expertise, with a focus on exploring investment opportunities in this sector and linking communication channels between the relevant authorities in Algeria and their counterparts in the State of Kuwait.

It added that the discussion also highlighted Algeria’s interest in studying the establishment of joint Kuwaiti-Algerian projects in the field of food security, which would benefit both countries and their brotherly peoples, through continued engagement of specialists from both nations to explore possible avenues of cooperation in this vital area.
