Saad Al-Alaati appointed Acting Deputy Minister of Finance

Kuwait officials: Finance Minister Dr. Yaqoub Al-Rafai issued a ministerial decision appointing Saad Al-Alaati to act as Deputy Minister of Finance. According to Decision No. 69 of 2026, Article One stipulates that the Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Services Affairs at the Ministry of Finance is assigned to perform the duties of Deputy Minister, in addition to his current role, effective November 1, 2026, until a permanent Deputy Minister is appointed. This follows the Finance Minister’s earlier issuance of Ministerial Decision No. 68 of 2026, which concerned the non-renewal of Aseel Al-Munif’s appointment as Deputy Minister of Finance. Article One of that decision confirmed the non-renewal of Aseel Al-Munif’s appointment as Deputy Minister, while Article Two specified that her service would end at the close of business on Thursday, the 29th of the current month.
